Site

Trying to find a home for my domain.  I am not really interested in hosting my own, and would love some tools to build with.  This blog (which, at the time of writing this is the home of my main domain) is a temporary home.  Any recommendations?

App is in beta

The app is wired up and ready to go.  I have it loaded in the simulator, my iPad, and several peoples phones -- all to test it out and work out what bugs there may be.  In about a week I will submit it to the app store.

Then, I begin the work on the Android version.

In the meantime, I modified the form in which users can submit work requests and added it to the site.  I also copied and pasted the 'About' and 'Estimates' pages that I conjured up for the app and placed them into pages on the site.  I want a nice, clean, and neat web interface.  However, I am beginning to think that it is too neat -- and now just simple!

Once I finally settle on a logo (one of the things holding me back from the app store, because the iOS app will need it) I will order some business cards.  What else am I forgetting....

App nearing conpletion

My free time (what little there is) has been devoted to finishing the app. I still haven't decided on a theme and symbols yet so I may just go with the gray on gray scheme. I like the bubbles on the icon, but not sure about it yet.

Any comments or critiques would be appreciated.

Well, I got to thinking, since my icon resembles that of a popular programs, I realized I need to change it up a little.  I liked the bubbles in side the dark-grey circle, so I decided to modify it a little.
I don't want to go too far with it and make it too complex.  Hmm..

I am playing with some ideas for logos.  This one reminds me of a commonly used application, but I only noticed this after creating it.  Plus, I want my color scheme to be kind of grayish.  Thoughts?

Almost there..

The app is basically done being coded, and the form is just about finalized. I have my pricing figured out and all of the paperwork just about in order. Digital Shore Services will be lifting off very soon! I hope my experience and education will prove to be profitable. I am jumping in swinging with all I've got. With such little overhead, I think my pricing will be competitive enough to gain some traction with potential clients. I was going to post 'wish me luck.' But, I don't think I need it! In this life -- the only one any of us will ever have -- you either give it all you got, or live a life of mediocrity. I'm a lion...

Mobile App

I am working on the mobile app at the moment. It will have a handful of buttons, on a simple elegent template with a form to fill in a work-order. Also Retweaking the blog to reflect the color scheme that I like. Marshall
